2025 Annual International Safety School

NASCO’s 25th annual International Aquatic Safety School will be held in Texas City, Texas on January 2nd-5th, 2025.

We will be utilizing the City of Texas City Pools at the Matthew T. Doyle Natatorium at 1900 5th Avenue North Texas City, TX

Sessions will begin Thursday, January 2nd at the Texas City Natatorium.

Please allow time in your travel arrangements to get into town before the first session begins at the Matthew T. Doyle Natatorium (we will start off in the pool – be ready to swim). Safety School will conclude in the afternoon with an awards luncheon on Sunday, January 5th.

GROUP DYNAMICS

Participants at the school will be placed into one of five groups depending on their aquatic ability and level of experience.

Group A: Participants who have little aquatic experience or are new to the NASCO Lifeguard Instructor Course.

Group B-1: Participants who are already NASCO Instructors and familiar with NASCO programs.

Group B-2: Participants who have significant experience with NASCO and have shown outstanding instructor ability.

Group C: Participants who are at senior level management positions and have significant experience with NASCO.

Management Track: Participants who are at a senior level management positions who have little or no lifeguard training experience.

Instructor Trainer (IT): Successful completion of this course enables the trainer to train others as NASCO Instructors at their facility. Those selected for this course must demonstrate outstanding aquatic ability, leadership skills and a commitment to the NASCO mission.

Being in the appropriate group greatly influences the participant’s experience at the school. If you are unsure as to which group you belong please contact Janna Emfield to discuss which group would be an appropriate fit and allow you to get the most out of your experience at the International Aquatic Safety School.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Those interested in participating in NASCO’s 2025 International Aquatic Safety School should complete the registration form below and submit it as soon as possible, but no later than December 30, 2024. Included in the cost of the school are the fees for the NLI course as well as the course materials. Please print out the Instructor Manuals and Lifeguard Textbooks and bring them with you to the school. Clients may purchase a copy on-site for $95.00. If you plan to purchase your instructor materials upon arrival at Safety School, please indicate as such on your registration form as we have a limited availability on-site.
